Cynthia Marie Lummis is an American politician and attorney currently serving as the junior United States senator from Wyoming, a position she has held since January 3, 2021. A member of the Republican Party, Lummis previously served in the U.S. House of Representatives from January 6, 2009, to January 3, 2017. Throughout her political career, she has focused on issues such as fiscal responsibility, energy policy, and the promotion of Wyoming's agricultural interests.
We do have a part of our science program that is focused on looking at the opportunity to create liquid fuel.
We have to look at some other alternatives, like offshore, and improve the technology.
I am from Wyoming. We are the number one uranium producing state in the nation.
But as my colleague from Colorado mentioned earlier, there is a study that shows that an eight percent gross royalty would be the highest ad valorem type royalty in the world, in terms of all minerals.
So I do take issue with your statement that we should be importing more uranium from friendly countries, such as Canada and Australia.
