I think Ranking Member Takano's bills are a great start to get us back on track in delivering better healthcare benefits to our veterans and supporting the VA.

Jen Kiggans is a member of the United States House of Representatives, representing Virginia's 2nd congressional district since January 3, 2023. A member of the Republican Party, Kiggans has a background in healthcare and public service, which informs her legislative priorities. She has been vocal about issues affecting servicemembers and has advocated for tax credits that support families in her district. Kiggans has also emphasized the importance of bipartisan support in addressing the needs of her constituents.
Congress never authorized the EHR Modernization Program, and it has struggled from the very beginning.
I look forward to continuing to work on a bipartisan basis on this program and get a system and result that will benefit veterans and employees.
It has faced issue after issue, and providers and veterans at these five sites are not getting the support and care they need.

I represent Hampton Roads and recently got to talk to and visit the Hampton VA, which is doing a great job.
Their two complaints were that they wanted more space and they needed more people, which I think is kind of are universal complaints.
I just want to make sure we are prioritizing staying competitive so that they are incentivized to be able to see our patients.
How are we ensuring that when these patients are discharged, I am sure there is a discharge planner that makes sure they have a follow-up appointment, that make sure they go home with their meds.
