Balancing the federal budget has become a challenge because the federal government overreaches across a wide swath of areas.

Our federal debt is now over $23 trillion.

I am committed to being a champion for a balanced budget, and hope that the Committee Members will make that same commitment.

The issues that the Black Lung Trust Fund are serious. Proper oversight over the distribution of the funds is needed.

I agree that we must remove barriers to reporting harassment and create a process that encourages victims to come forward.

Balancing a career and a family can be a challenge for many workers, especially when life-altering events, like the birth or adoption of a new child, or a serious illness occur.

Family-friendly policies have become an important tool for companies to attract and retain quality employees in our competitive job market.

The bottom line is that Congress should avoid burdening the American taxpayer and employers through additional Washington knows best Federal mandates.

We need to find other kinds of antagonist solutions.

The opioid crisis has ravaged our Nation and has touched the lives of thousands of American families who have lost loved ones to this terrible plight.

This is all a political exercise on their end just to help them in next November's election.

I encourage all Members to support this important agreement.

Any change in Federal policy impacting agriculture has a direct and dramatic effect on the families and businesses that I represent.

High-speed internet serves as a great equalizer and helps strengthen our communities across rural America.

Increased access to internet means students can complete their homework assignments, farmers can take full advantage of precision ag tools, and seniors can access telehealth services.

The lack of high-speed broadband internet is not being addressed swiftly enough.
