There is no doubt that HealthCare.gov, in 2013, was a disaster, a $400-million website that became synonymous with failure.

What happens when you have individuals receiving subsidies that they have not earned, do not have a right to, when it is $1.7 trillion over the next 8 or 9 years, what that results in in South Carolina, what we have seen this past year, is…

Perhaps, after billions and billions of dollars of subsidies that have been received by people who do not deserve them, it may indicate why we will still have 31 million Americans without insurance.

I am really concerned about the consumers in South Carolina, and whether it is Greenville or Charleston, who will now perhaps pay a higher price for their vehicles because of the Government's involvement in trying to make things better.

However, I need to go to another question. But I will say that there is legislation being promulgated or working its way through the House with a large number of the CPC members on this specific topic.

How do we explain back at home that CFPB's involvement effectively forces some South Carolinians shopping for vehicles to pay a higher interest rate on a car note? And how does that provide greater consumer protection?

The more successful the insurance company industry is, the less Government will have to do.

Whenever I go throughout South Carolina, my constituents are incredibly concerned about the IRS.

This breach will only add more fuel to the fire for people who are absolutely petrified by the IRS.

That does not sound like a resource issue. That sounds like a management issue.

I will say that, from a resourcing standpoint, it appears that during the Obama administration about $5 billion has been dedicated to the IRS for IT.
