I come before you today both humbled and honored to be considered to represent the United States of America at the United Nations.

I am painfully aware that the chance for 13-year-old girls to read and learn and grow is something that does not exist in far too many places around the world today.

We need to make it very clear that we do not accept any country that tries to meddle in any of the business of the United States.

The press has a job to do, and we should allow them to do it.

We must build an international institution that honors America's commitment to freedom, democracy, and human rights.

We have to come out strong. We have to be incredibly vocal.

I think it is very important that we look at every aspect of the Iran deal and see if it is being followed.

I think that now we have to make sure that we continue to hold that ground on that front.

the fact that Russia and China were supportive is the red flag that I need to know that there is a problem with the deal

I will support U.S. leadership in this area and focus on making sure U.S. contributions are used to maximum effect.

If confirmed, I will work with the President and senior policymakers to determine the appropriate level of engagement with the HRC that best advances U.S. interests.

I think NATO is an important alliance for us to have.
