U.S. policy toward Syria is difficult for everyone to address.

One of the most encouraging developments that I've seen in Iran is what is happening on the street--these remarkably brave ordinary Iranians who are protesting their own regime.

I just want to echo 100 percent what Congressman McCaul said--the last part anyway--as it regards to the dramatic investment China is making in Africa and the fact that we are asleep at the switch.

It is not at all a myth. You need only have an off-the-record conversation with any one of the members of the ambassadorial corps and other officials, whether it's NATO or the European Union.

I think that it is vital that this committee assert itself on a bipartisan basis to speak out with one voice that we support NATO.

I think I have been pestering them every month or so since then because at the time I thought there was a much higher possibility of a vote for Brexit than was commonly thought in the mainstream media either in the U.K. or the U.S.

One of the reasons why I was so concerned about Brexit was the impact, obviously, on the U.S.-U.K. relationship, a very important relationship.
