I voted against it when it first went forward, but then when we got around to reauthorization, it seemed like it was working pretty well.

I am pleased to hear that the FAA is interpreting this provision as Congress intended--in that it applies to every new plane rolling off the assembly line.

Ensuring the safety of our nation's transportation systems is the most important job of this Committee.

The stupid Government shutdown and all the damage that caused at the FAA, the disruption it caused at the FAA.

It is a mature industry, I would say, and I think that there is a conflict.

Our safety regulators must do a better job on all fronts.

We need to learn every lesson possible from these accidents and put in place any solutions necessary.
