I may nominate her to be Secretary of Defense. Imagine what she could squeeze out of that budget.

But it was those deeper relationships that were behind the scenes that had a real impact.

And that is at the heart of the value that you provide and one of the reasons we want to figure out how to continue to expand this.

I just think there are a lot of billionaires we hear about these days that would potentially see the value in this.

If we can have a real strategic approach with all of you, I think that could be a good model.

Another critical issue for my constituents and throughout the country is support for the funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

As a matter of fact, one year, the New York League of Conservation Voters named me the environmentalist of the year for all of New York State.

I feel very, very strongly about.

The American people are sick of this. This doesn't make any sense.

Well, it is a waste of money is what it is. I mean, it is inefficient.

I would appreciate it. Like the chairman said, I mean, we only have a few weeks as we are moving forward here to construct this bill.

These are the kinds of things that drive us crazy, you know, when you are thinking a billion dollars isn't going to get us to where we need to go.

This is a critical safety issue.

I think those of us on this committee have a deep appreciation what you do day in and day out.

It is unacceptable that we are spending this much money, and the number one and best investment we could make is into the men and women who serve.
