Andrew Cuomo is an American politician who served as the 56th governor of New York from 2011 to 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, he focused on issues such as economic development, healthcare reform, and education during his tenure. Prior to his governorship, Cuomo served as the Attorney General of New York from 2007 to 2010, where he gained recognition for his work on consumer protection and public corruption cases. He also held the position of Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Bill Clinton from 1997 to 2001, advocating for affordable housing and urban development initiatives.

The choice Mayor Adams made today was not an easy one, but I believe he is sincere in putting the well-being of New York City ahead of personal ambition.

The Democratic Party chairman did not endorse Mamdani — why? Because he is not a Democrat. He is a socialist.
There is no doubt that the people of New York and the nation see the continued carnage that is happening and are deeply, deeply disturbed and want it over, and believe it has gone on way too long.
It should end today. Return the hostages, end the violence. Today. I think it should have been over months ago. It is horrific.
Look, we’re all in this together. We love this city. We have to make it work — is all I’m saying.
I was governor. I made the decisions. I worked every day trying to figure this out. I’m forever sorry for what people went through.
No. 1, we must talk to businesses in this town, make them feel wanted. Business fuels this town. Do something about the affordability issue. Create housing. Hire 5,000 new police officers, put many in the subways — like back in Mayor…
