Andrew Cuomo is an American politician who served as the 56th governor of New York from 2011 to 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, he focused on issues such as economic development, healthcare reform, and education during his tenure. Prior to his governorship, Cuomo served as the Attorney General of New York from 2007 to 2010, where he gained recognition for his work on consumer protection and public corruption cases. He also held the position of Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Bill Clinton from 1997 to 2001, advocating for affordable housing and urban development initiatives.
I know the MTA very well. It’s a behemoth. It’s bureaucracy on top of bureaucracy.
Every day I’m going to be hitting the streets, meeting you where you are, to hear the good and the bad, problems and solutions, because for the next few months it’s my responsibility to earn your vote. So let’s do this
That’s the New York City we know, that’s the one that’s still possible. You haven’t given up on it and you deserve a mayor with the experience and ideas to make it happen again — and the guts to take on anyone who stands in the way.
They have too much money. Make them give it back, especially when we’re having an affordability crisis.
We need a city with lower rent, safer streets, where buying your first home is once again possible, where childcare won’t bankrupt you
