I said we would conduct a thorough, complete, and fair investigation, and that is exactly what we are doing. Because that is what accountable government looks like.

That stands in contrast to the Trump administration and Republicans, whose only interest has been in trying to use this issue for political gain.

We are moving very, very quickly. We are already removing people from the rolls who are not properly on there as we identified the serious system error, and as far as the investigation, it is moving quickly.

It’s unacceptable that no one in the previous administration brought this to light, demanded accountability, or took action when it happened years ago.
