The prior administration’s over-reliance on short-term budget gimmicks and ‘one-shots’ have seriously undermined the City’s long-term stability.

Our investigation is ongoing, we will follow the facts wherever they lead, fix the problems we inherited, do it the right way, and hold those responsible accountable.

If there are areas where it has somehow swept people into its ambit who should not be there, then I am more than happy to work with the Legislature on specific carveouts for those groups.
