The prior administration’s over-reliance on short-term budget gimmicks and ‘one-shots’ have seriously undermined the City’s long-term stability.

We’re doubling the number of new homes on state land. We’re investing tens of millions in affordable and workforce housing, and we’re getting shovels in the ground faster.

The residents of Jersey City are currently suffering from a fiscal crisis caused largely by the irresponsible decisions made by the City’s prior administration.

If there are areas where it has somehow swept people into its ambit who should not be there, then I am more than happy to work with the Legislature on specific carveouts for those groups.
