This was probably for me the darkest day in our nation`s history. You know, as I was on the floor of the House, as I tell people with a cell phone in one hand and a gas mask and the other, I simply could not believe that we were being attacked because a president of the United States did not want to concede in our democratic election.

The prior administration’s over-reliance on short-term budget gimmicks and ‘one-shots’ have seriously undermined the City’s long-term stability.
If there are areas where it has somehow swept people into its ambit who should not be there, then I am more than happy to work with the Legislature on specific carveouts for those groups.
The will of the City’s voters should not be set aside in the manner proposed in the bill.
