The Senator from Illinois spoke about the need to ensure some accountability by giving the Government a stake in airlines that are provided grants beyond the funding necessary to compensate them for the shutdown period. I agree with him on that. Has the Senator had conversations with anyone on this question? Has he been led to believe that equity participation--warrants, options, calls--also will be extended to grants that go beyond compensation for losses associated with the shutdown?
