Over the past few weeks, President Trump and many Republicans have peddled conspiracy theories about Twitter and other social media platforms to whip up their base and fundraise.

Mr. Dorsey, it is now up to you to assure the American people how Twitter continues to live up to its mission.

Will you commit to making the results of all such audits available to the public, including all recommendations and findings?

I fear the Republicans are using this hearing for those purposes instead of addressing the serious issues raised by social media platforms that affect American's everyday lives.

Will you commit to working with an independent third-party institution to conduct a civil rights audit of Twitter? Yes or no.

I think everyone should be treated the same and you seem to be saying that.

It is critical that you are living up to your own promises and the expectations you set out for consumers.

We're meeting today to discuss one of the great bipartisan success stories of this Committee, the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015, or MACRA.

If the agency was serious about focusing on consumers, it would want to help parents searching for quality educational programming and shield children, not make them easier targets for big business.
