The cost of doing nothing.

The cost of doing nothing is unacceptable.

We need to sit down and work together because these facts are completely opposite of each other.

I want to thank my colleague, Ranking Member Mark Takano for all you do on behalf of working families.

I'll remind everybody it's been a decade since a vote was taken on the minimum wage.

This bill does neither. It empowers massive corporations and stagnant wages at a time when working families need relief.

This bill is pushing for a solution in search of a problem when it claims this bill would help franchisees.

The right to join a union and collectively bargain helps workers raise wages. I've lived this. I've fought on behalf of workers to raise wages for almost two decades.

But today we're here to consider a bill that attacks workers' rights to fight for better wages and conditions.

Thank you, Chairmen Byrne and Walberg for holding this meeting today.

Involvement from employers and employees makes it a much healthier program understanding what they go through.

There's a difference between an apprenticeship program, which is to become a journeyperson and skilled in that craft, versus continuing education.
