I'm not complaining about the pepperball spraying — for me, I'm complaining about what the treatment is to my constituents, to Americans and to civilians that were in harm's way.

I just want to say this was never about me.

I was pepper-sprayed after trying to de-escalate tensions between immigration agents and protesters, and my throat still burned later that evening.

What I witnessed was really heartbreaking — just seeing Americans fighting other Americans in the streets, the level of division.

Drones are becoming increasingly central to defense systems worldwide — and the United States and our partners are unprepared to produce them at the necessary scale.

The only way to make this right for our communities is to shut it down and make sure the failures we’ve seen never happen again.

What I witnessed and experienced today was shameful. Delaney Hall is a failure; it’s this administration’s failure.

ICE officials told me that they were going to push through the crowd with their vehicle and they wanted to get some vehicles out of there.

Many of them raised big problems when it comes to getting medical treatment, the food being inedible, water problems. This is clearly a farce of a judicial process.

Look, this was a very strong repudiation of Trump.

Where is he right now? Has anyone actually seen him since this disaster in Texas? I mean, we have a completely absent FEMA acting administrator.

The reports of FEMA’s incomplete 2025 hurricane season plan on the cusp of the start of hurricane season and DHS’ slowness in providing the plan to this Committee are equally unsettling.

This is a perfect example of the shoddiness of this plan. This is a symbol for the brokenness of the Trump administration plan when it comes to immigration.
