Mark Meadows is a former U.S. Representative for North Carolina's 11th congressional district, serving from 2013 to 2020. A member of the Republican Party, he was a prominent figure in the House Freedom Caucus, advocating for limited government and fiscal conservatism. During his tenure, he was known for his strong support of the Trump administration's policies and initiatives.
I would say the Ranking Member and I believe wholeheartedly that painting a broad brush with our Federal employees is not something we want to do.
I have been willing to invest political capital on this particular issue and it is mainly out of my respect for the ranking member and the chairman.
I think it is one of the areas that has the most potential, but probably has the most work to do as well.
It is time for the President to stop trying to burnish his foreign policy legacy and stop putting politics ahead of national security.
