The bill that Senator Kennedy and I have, the Journalism Competition and Preservation Act, would allow local news organizations to negotiate with online platforms, including generative AI platforms.

A recent study by Northwestern predicted that one third of the U.S. newspapers that existed roughly 2 decades ago will be gone by 2025.

I think one of the things that we learned from the pandemic is the threats that we have when we do not have onshored manufacturing of so many things, including antibiotics.
