Educating American children should absolutely be a priority. The return on that investment is unmeasurable, really.

We gave--and this is our fault because we did it in a hurry, we did not put guardrails on it.

Elementary and secondary education matters to all of us, whether your kids are out of school, whether you have never had kids.

They should not be using taxpayer dollars to fund political pet projects.

Whining about leftwing ideologies, that is not going to bring us closer to solving the challenges of K through 12 education.

We know that installing racial division is damaging to the children.

We should be using this hearing to discuss solutions and support our states and localities in fully funding K through 12 schools.

The problem since the pandemic is it has only gotten worse.

We need to not paint them as agents of indoctrination. Instead, we need to be acknowledging their partnership in raising our kids.

The business education partnership has worked?

I think it is a critical topic for the Nation, for our children, for everyone, so I really appreciate you being here.

What are the obstacles and hurdles that are not allowing incentives? What do you see that we can have an impact on to remove those obstacles and hurdles?

Can education providers be nimble and responsive like business and industry, right?

If Congress incentivized middle school, high school, to create skilled trades programs, so to speak, for students, do you think that would obviously have a positive effect on our workforce in the future?

In your opinion you believe that schools and educators can adapt quickly, right?

U.S. sugar farmers generate more than $23 billion in economic activity and create more than 151,000 good-paying American jobs.

I look forward to working with you all to achieve a bipartisan farm bill.

The key aspect of the sugar loan is that to maintain its minimal cost to taxpayers, it must be repaid in full each year.
