What the President is trying to do, for example, with Medicare, is to say we can extend the life of Medicare by just changing how much we're paying the drug companies, negotiating for drug prices and bring down costs for American families.
This is about security in the short term right now. And to just hand that over for political purposes, to try to reshape a narrative that's at odds with what America saw with its own eyes, that is genuinely dangerous and shocking.
