There is a dangerous game of chicken that is going on right now, where in reaction to the President's immigration efforts, the reaction has been to threaten withholding of the very funding that protects our homeland security.
It sends a terrible signal, in my view, to them and their responsibility when the Congress has not fully funded the effort that they are charged with accomplishing.
To me, that is a critical point going forward, too. I see it right in my own home State in Boston, in our ability to deal with that.
I just have to tell you, something has got to be done. And fact that you said more is being done on perimeter security just doesn't match up to the facts.
