The problem with the individual market is it's a crummy place to be.

Will we be safer or better off if we continue the way we are continuing?

Did we, in killing a few of the Al Qaeda in that village, was that worth the fact we had to kill women and children?

The United States has the technical ability to kill anyone, anywhere, anytime. But just because we can does not mean we should.

The time is here. The time is now. This is the moment and this is the closest this will ever happen.

The House bill has been fought forward as Obamacare light, it won't work, premiums and prices will continue to spiral out of control.

Now, I think the bill as it stands really is dead on arrival. I don't think it's going to ever arrive in the senate. I think it's dead on arrival in the house.

We put forward legislation, bipartisan legislation, because we are so upset about this.

But, it has gone from 5,000 a year to 25,000.

I would also argue, though, that there is a difference between searching my bag and my cell phone.

I think there are different--and I am not blaming you. It may sound like I am blaming you.

I think this is an extraordinarily unreasonable standard.

I haven't seen any legislation coming forward that wants to limit the press. I see President Trump expressing his opinion.

But, one quick point before I finish. The people we have here are doing sort of their job in what we want them to do, but it is bigger than their job.

I have a great deal of respect for those who look throughout government for waste and try to fix things.

If you are fixing 75 percent of the problem, that would be enormous if that is true, and it may well be.

One of the things that I have introduced--and if anybody wants to make a comment on it--is legislation that would give bonuses to civil servants who find waste.

If you want to save money on the Census, maybe we could, let us see, give people a $100 deduction on their taxes...

I remember William Proxmire, the Golden Fleece awards and the waste.

But putting 1,000 Americans in the middle of a battle in Raqqa is a very bad idea.

The ultimate answer here is a diplomatic one.

I would think he is on the ascendancy.

But putting 1,000 Americans in there is a really, really terrible idea.

I think we ought to think this thing through and think that this will not be the end. This will be the beginning.

This is a war within Islam, and I think we should be supportive and try to amplify those who are trying to defeat this aberration, but let us not make it our war.
