My amendment is just saying that: It is the sense of the Senate that the Committee on Labor and Human Resources of the Senate, taking into account any relevant findings of the National Commission on Health Care Quality and other public and private entities with expertise and quality health care service delivery, should act expeditiously in the first session of the 105th Congress to schedule hearings and executive session consideration of legislation designed to ensure that patients be given access to all relevant information concerning their health care so as to permit such patients, in consultation with their physicians, to make appropriate decisions regarding their health care, and that the Senate should promptly consider that legislation.
