This committee has been very focused on how we can lower drug prices and it is a top concern for my neighbors back home.

The FTC is one of my most favorite agencies in the Federal Government.

I want to express my disappointment and concern that we will not be hearing from one of the major agencies responsible for the oversight of pipeline security, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)...

I find it to be unacceptable and it will be addressed as we move forward.

I implore its members to take into account and give priority to transformative projects, such as Interstate 73, that are shovel ready, nationally significant, and have a dedicated source of state and local funding and support.

Federal investments in efficient and high-quality transportation systems are linked with economic development in these communities.

Having robust and well-funded infrastructure is critical to my district as well as to the entire country.

It is my hope that following this hearing, the minority side will finally accept my repeated offers to work with my office on this bill as we move it through the legislative process.

H.R. 1315 is a jobs bill designed to train underserved groups, including women, minorities, veterans, unemployed energy workers, and returning citizens, among others, for the energy jobs and careers of the present and future.

It is my hope that following today's hearing my Republican colleagues will finally agree to discuss actual substance with my office so we can move this much-needed bill forward.
