I have introduced, as you have heard, H.R. 1114, legislation to require the Surgeon General... to submit an annual report on the impacts of gun violence on public health.

Gun violence, Madam Chairman, is indeed a national epidemic.

Tackling this issue are making our homes, our schools, and our business more energy efficient, will save money, put people back to work, and expand the American middle class.

It is way past the time for the Department of Energy to work within these contracts so that these good old boys networks are not the only entities receiving these lucrative, government-backed contracts.

You can't lead where you don't go.

I happen to disagree with that. I happen to think that when you set goals, when you set bold and aggressive action and milestones, it does force people to come up with innovation quicker.

We call it the green jobs and--blue and green jobs, and this would impact those out-of-work coal miners, minorities, women and veterans.

This bill would require the Secretary of Energy to establish a program relating to the physical security and cybersecurity for pipelines and liquefied natural gas facilities.
