But what I take from what you've just said is that we should be very aggressive in pursuing the development of a vaccine.

So what I'm concerned about--and I think I can speak for members of this subcommittee--is what do we need to do to provide resources to enable us to move as rapidly as possible to develop this vaccine?

I think what they would be concerned about it is how soon can we get a vaccine for this?

We issued that travel warning.

People are very concerned. They're concerned about their children in school, because a lot of the cases have involved school children.

We are here for a public hearing on the recent outbreak of the so-called swine flu in this country and around various parts of the world.

I think we all pretty much basically agree on crop insurance here.

Organics is. We are finding a lot of young people in Iowa now with just a few acres able to grow organics and sell them at premium prices.

Pat and I may not always agree on everything in agriculture, but this is one thing we do agree on, in lockstep, on crop insurance.

We did quite a bit in the last farm bill on organics.

It is time that we move the Department of Agriculture, and particularly the FSA and the RMA, into the 21st century.

We want to make sure that Agriculture gets its rightful place in the ability to sequester carbon.

I think we must be--I think we are No. 2 now in the Nation. I think, if I am not mistaken, in the number of organic farms.

If I am confirmed, the message will be clear. Discrimination in any form will not be tolerated in this Department.

We need financing systems and policies for health reform that support prevention and better managing chronic diseases.

I have been drinking AE milk since I was a kid and that is a long time ago.

I just think that we need to look at that and I would ask your industry--and you have been a great leader.

I think I will just go back to schools are a unique environment and a unique opportunity to offer more balanced choices to students.

I would hope that as the new Secretary of Health and Human Services, that she would work closely with Secretary Vilsack and Secretary Duncan.

I encourage you to take that first step by establishing meaningful nutrition standards for all foods sold in schools.

I see this really as a part of our overall health reform.

Let us provide the nutrient richness of flavored milks in the school environment, get the kids to drink more milk.

I think that healthy school environments should just be for schools with more resources, but that opportunity should be available to kids no matter where they go to school.
