Amendment 3 isn’t what I proposed or advocated for.

If passed it would be the biggest tax relief in the modern history of Florida.

I will not lead a campaign to pass the amendment because Amendment 3 isn’t what I proposed or advocated for.

People are going to know you are getting tax relief. You’re going to get increased homestead exemptions.

It’s going to be very clear for voters what’s on there. It addresses what the judge said even though we don’t necessarily agree with the legal analysis.

This shouldn’t even be controversial, yet our law protecting kids required to fend off lawsuits and win a case before a divided appellate court.

We protected America. We pushed back on the Fauci-Ouchie and all the nonsense that came from it.

We must ensure that every dollar spent on Medicaid is used effectively and efficiently to support our children and families.

We recovered more than $72 million in improper Medicaid payments over the past year and prevented hundreds of behavior analysts from participating in Medicaid because of documented fraud concerns.

Florida under DeSantis blocked local governments, schools and private businesses from imposing COVID-19 vaccine mandates in fall 2021.

Florida under DeSantis fully opened its restaurants, bars and beaches in 2020, well before the feds said it was prudent to do so.

He shares our commitment to parental rights, school choice, eliminating radical ideologies from the classroom, and preparing every student for success in the workforce and in life.

I will vote yes on the amendment, but I am not as enthused about it.

Maybe there’s problems, but what it will lead to is more surveillance of people by law enforcement, and we don’t need that.

Do we really want to have policing of e-bikes, and are you going 10 miles [per hour] or 8 miles [per hour] or whatever and it’s just, I think, it was a little bit of an overreach.

SCOTUS validates election practices in places like California that count votes received after an election.

I anticipated a lawsuit challenging the designation.

This is a clear and unfortunate example of judicial overreach.

The state has both a right and a responsibility to ensure instruction at these universities is consistent with the underlying mission and to exclude indoctrination and ideological agendas.

State universities are funded by taxpayers and directed by elected officials and their appointees.

Florida disagreed with what the court was doing and said so explicitly. In May 2023, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) signed House Bill 1297, which authorized the death penalty for aggravated sexual battery of a child under 12.

Under this still-developing accreditation agency, universities would no longer need to “bend the knee” to get accredited.

A totally unaccountable, unappointed, unelected accrediting agency can trump what the state of Florida is doing.

Will need either a constitutional amendment or a future court to overrule this.
