You just testified that you are still finalizing the standards for the readers?

I can't think of too many programs in Government that have had more delays, more costs to the taxpayers, and more incidents of failing to perform than the so-called TWIC effort.

We have issued those, and we don't have standards for them fully adopted. Is that also correct?

I am fed up with this, really, Mr. Larsen.

We are going on 9 years. We are in our second phase of issuing cards.

This is so indefensible.

We should be entitled, an investigative arm of the House of Representatives, this agency used taxpayer monies.

This is a serious investigation. People were killed.

If it's not turned over by tomorrow -- we will hold in contempt, the House of Representatives, Eric Holder, the attorney general of the United States.

I think we should track down everyone and hold everyone accountable.

We just want to get the truth, the facts, and hold people accountable.

Our responsibility is to represent the citizens who are paying for this whole fiasco and seeing an agent killed.

This is the prosecutorial arm. This is the Department of Justice buying weapons, we believe, because we don't know because we don't have the facts and they won't give us the information.

There is no reason why we should be denied the documents to get to the truth of this.

I don't take our investigative facts and information from a magazine or some article.

I think the people of the United States that we represent deserve that.

Mr. Denham and I will continue this. We will hold hearings in Washington.

It's an expensive abuse and misuse of taxpayer assets.

You've got to come prepared to these hearings, because I'm going to ask tough questions.

This is a pretty valuable piece of property.

Is something lacking? Do you have enough authority under the provisions of that law?

If this is the example of efficiency, God help the United States taxpayers.
