Ronald Wilson Reagan was an American politician and actor who served as the 40th president of the United States from 1981 to 1989. A member of the Republican Party, he previously held the office of governor of California from 1967 to 1975. Reagan's presidency is noted for significant tax cuts, a strong anti-communist foreign policy, and the deregulation of various industries. His administration also faced challenges such as the Iran-Contra affair and economic issues, including inflation and unemployment.
It is economic growth, more than anything else, that is required to keep the finances of State and local governments healthy.
Decentralization of power could be one of the most long-lasting effects of the Reagan Presidency.
Well, isn't it about time Washington put its own house in order and stopped pushing you around?
And if we all stick together, it's going to have to happen in spite of some objection from Capitol Hill.
Unfortunately, the President's call for this catastrophic protection is being used by some as a vehicle for expanding coverage unrelated to his goal.
Our message to anyone who would trash or vandalize our public lands has been forcefully stated—and that may be putting it mildly.
We take pride in our freedom, and we also take pride in the natural grandeur of our land.
Our citizens need to know that they can and should make a difference.
The net effect of this bill would be to move U.S. trade law in a more protectionist direction.
