It's clear that centralized planning doesn't work here anymore than it works in socialist countries.

Today free enterprise is propelling us into a new technological era.

The planned increase in the fee is intended to shore up GNMA's reserves.

Let no one doubt our resolve.

We have every reason to be optimistic.

Every time a choice is made to save an unborn baby's life, it is reason for joy.

The administration opposes H.R. 1056 because it would nullify GNMA's announced increase in the amount of the service fee.

If H.R. 1056 were to reach the President's desk, the President's senior advisers would recommend a veto.

We're coming back and coming back strong.

We must improve our children's basic skills—reading, writing, and computation; raise standards in elementary and secondary schools; and instill in our children productive habits and sound values.
