It doesn’t have the authority to override the U.S. Constitution and trample Congress’ power of the purse.

This is funding that California parents count on to get the safe and reliable child care they need so that they can go to work and provide for their families.

This is just the latest example of Trump’s willingness to throw vulnerable children, vulnerable families and seniors under the bus if he thinks it will advance his vendetta against California and Democratic-led states.

For six months, California National Guard troops have been used as political pawns by a President desperate to be king.

Today, Americans can breathe a huge sigh of relief.

But the President is not King. And he cannot federalize the National Guard whenever, wherever, and for however long he wants, without justification.

Once again, a court has firmly rejected the President's attempt to make the National Guard a traveling national police force.

He is laying the groundwork. He is socializing an idea that is very dangerous about potential election interference and fraud when it does not exist.
