The habits they are learning today will make them better citizens tomorrow.

What is more important now is that we find a way to make this one Nation.

A patriotic American is never so proud of the flag under which he lives as when it comes to mean to others, as well as to himself, a symbol of hope and liberty and freedom.

This order shall be effective as of the date of approval of the act entitled 'An Act To amend chapter 73 of title 10 of the United States Code, to establish a Survivor Benefit Plan, and for other purposes.'

Now, Therefore, I, Richard Nixon, President of the United States of America, ask the people of this Nation to mark the month of October, 1972, with suitable observances as Country Music Month.

But even one person addicted or led into drug abuse is one too many, and we shall not have discharged our humane duty until all are rescued from this plague.

This Government does not need any more of your income, and it should not be allowed to take any more of your salary and your wages in taxes.

I will veto even bills whose purposes I agree with, if I conclude that the price tags of those bills are so high that they will lead to tax increases.

I do hereby urge the people of the United States to observe the week of October 8, 1972, as National School Lunch Week

The glamorization of drugs has been halted.

I have approved the Federal Advisory Committee Act which provides standards for the establishment, operation, termination, and control of advisory committees.

A vote against the spending ceiling could prove to be a vote for higher taxes.

That help is now on the way.
