We know far too little about the experiences of student veterans in higher education.

The VFW supports Rep. Takano's goal to report on the efficacy of peer-to-peer support services for veterans in higher education.

I find it unfortunate that the VA has not completed this system and want to know when and how they plan to do so.

I support my colleagues' bills that aim to improve the lives of our veterans and of the nine pieces of legislation I have sponsored two bills which seek to help our veterans attending college.

I represent Riverside County, which is the eighth largest veterans population in the country.

I am fully aligned, as I think all of us on this committee are fully aligned, with the Secretary's goal of ending veterans' homelessness.

I come from an area of the country in Southern California that has been greatly benefited by the Clean Air Act.

At this time, I yield 3 minutes to the gentlewoman from Nevada (Ms. Titus), who is also the ranking member of the Veterans' Affairs Subcommittee on Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs.

This legislation will assist veteran entrepreneurs in transitioning to the private sector after their military service by reducing both the red tape and the costs of starting a franchise to help them become small business owners.

The Affordable Care Act will get them covered so they don't have to worry about going bankrupt or being unable to get care if they become sick.

This hearing is just another attempt to undermine the President's signature law and follow their playbook.

It is in the American people's best interest to encourage participation in the exchanges to help bring down premiums for everyone.

I am disappointed that the Committee is spending its time this morning adding to the political drama around the Affordable Care Act.

The law is about more than the website. It is about peace of mind for millions of Americans who need and deserve affordable coverage.
