H.R. 1180 needs to be renamed 'The Betrayal of Working Families Act.'

I want to thank Representative Roby for leading this effort.

This legislation is ultimately about freedom, choice, and fairness.

H.R. 1180 gives employers yet another tool to deny workers overtime pay, at the very moment their overtime rights ought to be strengthened.

This legislation plays a cruel trick on cash-strapped and time-strapped workers.

the solutions are very clear--and H.R. 1180 is not among them.

Every worker has a different story, but they all deserve the choice between more time and more money in the bank.

I would hate to see us zero this program completely out.

I certainly hope that none of my programs are suffering from some of these issues and I do hope, Ms. Giblin, that we are going to get the service programs on track.

More importantly, we need to take a step back and reject the cynicism that this idea implies.
