I'm trying to understand the testimony by the witnesses and their lawyer. I'm trying to find the issue that is pertinent to the Committee.

At least one of the witnesses here wants to disband the FBI, which would be counter to what we just voted on, on the floor of the House of Representatives.

The FBI is a police agency.

There appears to be but one issue, as I can try to understand it, and that is the use of the security issue makes it difficult for the participant, whistleblower, to find satisfaction.

I find it most interesting during our break to go and vote. The majority, including some Democrats, voted to express support for law enforcement officers and condemning efforts to defund and dismantle local law enforcement agencies.

This hearing, as similar hearings, tends to devolve into shouting back and forth and accusations back and forth.

We think it is a pretty good idea. We want to get these projects underway.

I would hope that you would pursue all of those issues without pursuing the integrity of the witnesses.

It is inappropriate to go after her history and background to try to somehow impugn her integrity.

Your opposition to offshore wind is your choice, and you should, in my view, do anything you can on the policy side of it, rather than on the personal side.

As long as that remains in effect, we will not have the opportunity for cargo for American ships.

If you don't have the cargo, you don't have the ships, and you don't have the personnel for the ships.

If we are going to recruit and fill the ranks, we are going to have to reach out to the women, young and not so young.
