I will say that it is a remarkable embarrassment that we continue to send taxpayer dollars to Amtrak for the purposes of ADA compliance, and yet they have historically and continuously not met that obligation.

I would ask that you work with the EPA and see if we can get the same attainment standards and compliance standards set for the bay area...

I actually know a lot about safety, and probably a lot more than you.

I think rail safety R&D would be welcome, make sure we have more funding for the development of safer tank cars...

Yes, I do. I do believe so. And when you build this infrastructure, it has to be paid for over a period of time.

I am very concerned that this might be the first generation in America that is actually moving our diet away from additional produce, and protein, and diverse nutrition on the dinner plate.

I am from California. I represent a district that is--we looked at it--the 18th highest poverty level in America.

I would like to talk more broadly about abundance and access implications of our farm policy.

Do you believe that this route serves as the multimodal transportation system that was called for 5 years ago?

It is something that has been long awaited, and we are very excited about the movement.
