Jackie Speier is a former U.S. Representative from California, serving in the House of Representatives from January 3, 2008, until January 15, 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, she represented California's 14th congressional district. Speier is known for her advocacy on issues such as women's rights, healthcare, and gun control. She gained national attention for her work on the Sexual Assault Survivors' Bill of Rights and her efforts to address military sexual assault. Speier's political career began in the California State Assembly, where she served from 2002 to 2006 before moving to the U.S. Congress.
And when we have 81 percent of the families in this country not eligible for paid family leave, I would think you would be running to support this bill.
Our democracy is stronger when we all understand the true cost of war waged on our behalf.
Actually, most of you could do a lot better in the officer area than in the enlisted.
We are stronger when our military represents and connects to those it protects.
Diversity is also an asset. Minorities and women have unique perspectives they bring to the fight.
I would agree, you could have gotten that a little bit better, because in some respects it reinforces the notion that women aren't really welcomed in the Marines.
Please provide the gender and ethnicity of recruiters across the services and in any higher DOD headquarters activity that is related to recruiting activities.
But it appears that it's not really about the family; it's really about making sure that Big Business has the lowest tax rates possible.
