We shouldn't just focus on the Jewish victims of the World War II era but all those whose families were destroyed and whose insurance was never known about and never paid.

For too long, elderly survivors have been denied their basic needs and the problem is getting worse.

None of the sponsors of this bill are against the First Amendment. None of the sponsors of this bill want to shut down the Internet.

In spirit of Si's words, I believe these bills have merit as a means to draw strong attention to the plight of survivors.

The Pirate Bay is a notorious pirate site, a fact that its founders proudly proclaim in the name of the site itself.

The fact that companies would continue to hold the money knowing that the insured have probably died over 50 or 60 years ago raises the question is this the kind of company that American consumers should be allowed to do business with.

Mr. Berman's amendment pushes this forward, and it should be adopted.

I also want to make clear my view that nothing in this bill should limit in any way the President's ability to conduct diplomacy as he sees fit.

I support the bill and urge my colleagues to do the same.

I believe this amendment strengthens the legislation, and I urge my colleagues to vote for its adoption.

I believe an objective determination is likely to show that the Central Bank of Iran is indeed involved in one or more of these activities.

I also thank members on both sides of the aisle for their efforts and ideas geared toward improving this bill and strengthening our overall sanctions regime on Iran.

The Central Bank of Iran is the linchpin of Iran's financial system.

While the reports required by INKSNA are 2 years behind schedule, an ongoing problem that has plagued successive administrations...

The stakes could not be higher. Iran is making inexorable progress in enriching uranium...

We will need to work with our global partners to make a sanction on the Central Bank as effective as possible.

Yet, as I have said previously, nothing that we do or that the administration has done can be deemed truly effective until Iran ends its nuclear weapons program and stops supporting terrorism.

This amendment would simply eliminate the specific reference to Russia and would exempt the Bushehr reactor, so long as and only if it is not used for Iran's nuclear weapons program, from sanctions under this bill.

We can't nibble around the edges. We need a sanctions regime that is as bold as the Iranian nuclear program is brazen.

This measure will give foreign companies incentive to do that.

We should never allow the slightest bit of doubt as to our seriousness of purpose regarding our efforts to prevent Iran from achieving a nuclear weapons capability.
