Mrs. Yetta B. Floyd may be appointed to the position of clerk-typist in the Bureau of Prohibition, Department of Justice, without regard to the civil-service rules.

These economies would run into many millions.

The Veterans' Administration was a new type of organization in the Government.

There has been no attempt to estimate them.

Such action would result in the elimination of many expensive agencies and overlap resulting in very great economies.

The subject is an old one and now that economy absolutely must be the first order in government it is an appropriate time for Congress to take up the question and bring it to conclusion.
