Trump has finally, for once, listened to reason – and heard what we have been saying from the beginning.

He sends out masked men, he sends out Border Patrol. He sends out ICE, creates anxiety and fear in the community, so that he can lay claim to solving for that by sending in the Guard in the first place.

I am currently reluctant to impose rigid reporting requirements about operational details on this sector.

This could have killed someone.

We love our Marines and owe a debt of gratitude to Camp Pendleton, but next time, the Vice President and the White House shouldn't be so reckless with people's lives for their vanity projects.

This is chaos and confusion.

Using our military to intimidate people you disagree with isn’t strength – it’s reckless, it’s disrespectful, and it’s beneath the office he holds.

The President is putting his ego over responsibility with this disregard for public safety. Firing live rounds over a busy highway isn’t just wrong – it’s dangerous.

Federal troops are not welcome in the city, and that crime is coming down.
