I have offered several measures to provide real solutions to gulf residents.

My basic point is this. We have a tremendous opportunity in this committee to really help people.

Americans deserve an efficient, effective government that works for them.

We, too, care about making sure that every agency of government does what it is supposed to do.

In my opinion, this committee could have a much more significant and immediate impact on the price of gas if it stopped focusing solely on the oil industry's interest and started focusing on real efforts to help American consumers.
