The Federal Tax Code clearly works well for the wealthy and for large corporations.

The 2017 Republican tax cut alone was particularly regressive, providing more than $1 trillion in tax breaks to corporations and the top 1 percent of earners.

I think the pilot program included in this bill is a good start, but we must do much more.

I believe this bill will make a meaningful difference in helping deliver clean, safe drinking water to millions of Californians.

I hope to work you and Ranking Member Capito on a bipartisan basis as this bill moves to the floor.

I know in a prior hear for the Director of OMB position I was able to ask questions generally in regards to concern about equity and the role OMB can play in policymaking and budgeting to address equity challenges in America.

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken an incredible toll on our lives and our communities across the United States.

These communities are hurting and dying at alarming rates, and they desperately need someone who knows these communities at their core.

If confirmed, Attorney General Becerra will be the first Latino Secretary of Health and Human Services, an honor I know that he will not take lightly.

I understand there are a lot of people saying they would like to see a reconstruction of the events of January 6th and how they came to be.

What message do you believe this is sending to other domestic violent extremists let alone foreign adversaries?

Does this make your job harder? The answer would be so far yes, yes, yes.

One thing that was not lost on me and many people that I have talked to is the difference in both police presence and response on January 6th compared to events from last summer.
