We can talk in flowery terms about what we want, what our hearts are willing to do, but what our wallets can't provide.

If we are not going to have serious entitlement reform, where is it going to come from? It is simple math.

It comes down to dollars and cents. You can't wave a magic wand and make this money appear.

Now, as I read this, it looks like an open-ended discussion, but with no real specifics.

The Government works for you. You have to switch that around and understand the revenue comes from hard-working American taxpayers.

Throwing money at a problem isn't the answer. We have to get more bang for the bucks.

I would think, though, for us, for both sides, if we would help you, if we would put more teeth into these things, it would help you to win.

Whenever employers and employees put this money into this fund--this isn't government-funded, this is wage-tax funded.

If the time doesn't fit the crime, I mean, what is the reason for not doing it?

But that is something we could help you with, right?

What else can you do? Because it seems to me, in a country that leads the world in technology and being able to derive tendencies.

We are on a trajectory that doesn't look good.

But in my life and in what I have done for a living up until the last 3 years, it is employers and employees paying in together into this fund.

If you are telling me that you come up with 22,000-some cases and they accepted 100, that has to be very frustrating for the people that are out there doing that work.

The most frequent question that has been asked about the Aaron Alexis incident is how this young man could have received a security clearance in 2008.

I think it is absolutely ridiculous for anybody to say there is no impact.

When Mr. Hoffa jumps on this and says you are destroying the backbone of the American middle class, then there is a concern.

This is not a Republican issue or a Democrat issue. This is an American worker issue.

I have no idea where this came from. I also wonder how it will impact overtime pay.

I hope today we can move past the denials that this law does not have an effect on jobs.

Getting Americans working again, or at least restoring the number of hours they used to be able to work, should not be a partisan issue.

Republicans are working toward solutions so hardworking Americans do not have to worry about their hours and wages being cut as a result of ObamaCare.

These are Americans living paycheck to paycheck, who are already paying more for food and more for their health care, and are now being hurt again by the burdens of the President's healthcare law.

This is not Republicans versus Democrats. This is Republicans and Democrats working together to serve the American people.

I work for the people of America, that is who I work for. Taxpayers is who I work for.
