Mark Edward Kelly is an American politician, engineer, and former astronaut currently serving as the junior United States senator from Arizona. A member of the Democratic Party, he was elected to the Senate in a special election held in November 2020 and officially took office on December 2, 2020. Kelly has focused on various issues during his tenure, including veterans' affairs, healthcare, and gun control, reflecting his commitment to public service and safety.
I do not think that enough people throughout our Nation understand the dedication that people working within our government have for our citizens.
I think it becomes an us versus them or a them versus us type of a situation.
I have gotten to the point that when I get back home, what I get most of the time are concerns that people have that they cannot connect with the agencies that are supposed to serve them.
There is nothing wrong with the law. The law is well written. It is that the IRS needs to implement the law as it is written.
I keep hearing all the time about, well, I wish they would get something done in Washington.
FEMA needs to be held accountable and to make sure that the people that they are giving the money to are--are also held accountable.
It is a sizable investment that we make and it is an investment that we need to make.
If you are in a peeing contest with a skunk, the only way to beat him is to out-pee him.
We have to be damn fools if we don't think we haven't been in a trade war for decades.
So at what point do people say are you kidding me? Why would I ever run for any of these offices?
I look forward to working together with you, as well as other Members of the Subcommittee, specifically on issues of bipartisan concern.
This, I said earlier, is a Pandora's box. You take the lid off this, and you make anybody subject to this type of scrutiny.
I don't challenge Mr. Neal's integrity in regards to his authority to use 6103.
This is an incredible overreach. This is an oversight Committee. Our very role is to be the watchdogs to make sure that American citizens are protected.
