Mike Dennis Rogers is a former U.S. Representative for Alabama's 3rd congressional district, serving from 2003 to 2015. A member of the Republican Party, Rogers held various influential positions in Congress, including Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. During his tenure, he focused on national security and intelligence issues, advocating for policies to strengthen the military and enhance oversight of intelligence operations.
Thank you especially Mr. Kohr for your testimony and for your hard work assuring that the strong and steadfast relationship between the U.S. and Israel is maintained.
Now that today many of my Democrat colleagues are going to be calling for the abolition of ICE, and I don't understand that.
Let us build on this success. Border security and keeping Americans safe used to be priorities for both our parties.
This committee should take a lot of pride in the fact that we have made a difference in this country over the last 15 years.
Fewer drugs will make it into the United States, saving lives and making our communities safer.
We need an all-of-the-above approach to border security that includes manpower, 21st Century technology, and barriers.
Given what the world looks like right now, this approach seems detached from reality.
This is something important, I think, for us and him--more important to him--for us to bear down and approve those nine pieces of this reorganization.
I hope the Chairman will join me in providing stability and certainty regarding chemical security--and avoid taking actions, which would undermine enactment of a bipartisan, long-term reauthorization.
