Mike Dennis Rogers is a former U.S. Representative for Alabama's 3rd congressional district, serving from 2003 to 2015. A member of the Republican Party, Rogers held various influential positions in Congress, including Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. During his tenure, he focused on national security and intelligence issues, advocating for policies to strengthen the military and enhance oversight of intelligence operations.
H.R. 1 attempts to address these pressing issues but the bill's provisions are deeply naive.
All Americans should have confidence that voting equipment and systems are secure and your vote counts as they intended.
It is my hope that this bipartisan tradition on this issue will continue in this Congress.
I reiterate, this is good government policy, and I fully support and urge its passage. Mr. Speaker, I yield back the balance of my time.
we are going to have to adequately fund the Department of Homeland Security instead of continually reaching into DOD to subsidize that department.

I have been frustrated that we are doing this research and development across several offices rather than concentrating in one area.
The president needs to slow down and think about the consequences of what he's doing.
It was hard to watch the secretary of state try to walk through that minefield today.
