I share these concerns.

The EPA official said that all incinerators, even the small ones like this very small animal incinerator in Soldotna, Alaska would have to undergo what is called 'annual source testing'.

The sheer number of rulemakings the EPA is currently proposing, the cost of compliance... It is very frustrating to the public.

I hear more complaints from the people of Alaska about the EPA than any other Agency out there.

It would be outrageous, really, if this small family-run business has to stop providing a service for local families with pets because the cost of compliance with the regulations, of dubious environmental benefit at least in this instance…

EPA, unfortunately, is still number one in the views of many Alaskans as not necessarily a good thing.

I was able to help secure an additional $53 million in the IHS joint venture staffing packages for the IHS service hospitals, hugely important to us.

As the Arctic continues to open, sufficient Coast Guard presence in the region is vital to ensuring the safety and security of the region.

I am concerned by your recent announcement that between budget constraints and Shell Oil's recent announcement that it will not be drilling in the Arctic in 2013, you won't have an Arctic presence this summer.

I'm concerned about the proposed $909 million acquisitions budget, a dramatic reduction of $600 million below the fiscal year 2013 appropriation.

I feel just so privileged to be serving on this subcommittee where there is such attention, such focus on the need on understanding and appreciation of the role that the Coast Guard has.
