This bill does not fix every problem in the IHS; however, it is a step in the right direction for Indian Country.
Adequate healthcare is one of the most important issues to American Indians and Alaska Natives; however the IHS direct care system is deficient, inadequate, and is simply failing areas of the country that need help the most.
Either we set the policy--because none of the groups are going to get together.
I do believe the Arctic is going to be the biggest challenge we have, as a Nation.
This administration, very frankly, is focused on the human and environmental dimension of the Arctic, and not on the security.
We need something to be happening. We are not having anything really--we have the Arctic Council. Big deal.
